Doug Kimball began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey mid 2008, at the urging of his Yoshukai instructor. With over 25 years experience in martial arts – Doug was excited to take on a new challenge – and feels it’s the most fun and frustrating sport he’s ever enjoyed! A self professed ‘old guy’, he strongly believes that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a significant contributor to both his physical and mental health.
Doug also manages the Robson Moura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association, working closely with Robson on seminar planning, merchandise, training camps and expanding RMNU across the world. Beyond that – he has a full-time job that keeps him busy and traveling, but he always makes time to enjoy his teenage twins and a very supportive wife.
Helping others to gain an interest and a passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is important to Doug, and he enjoys teaching and sharing what he has learned. As part of that, he is constantly looking to add to and improve his game, knowing that BJJ is a never ending journey – and he has a long way to go!
