So tonight at the end of class, the kids were playing the flag game. I don’t know what you actually call it. There were a lot of kids and it took a little longer than normal. I could see Mayson hoping to not get called. [Coach] Mike then told him that he was last and that he would go against the winner of the match about to be played. You could see that he was getting nervous. My 2 girls moved a little closer to him to reassure him. Now that didn’t surprise me as that is just how my kids are. It was the other 3-4 kids that noticed his reaction that moved from 5-10 feet away to go encourage him. I just thought “yes! Those are the kids I want mine to associate with, be friends with and learn from.” Good job coach! – Melissa Donahue

Training BJJ had made my upper body stronger than it has ever been in my life. Not only am I stronger but I’m making friends with a lot of really nice people. I haven’t met one person at the gym that I don’t think is just awesome. And Ed is the greatest teacher ever and obviously a great dad. He’s a phenomenal role model…..Mikes pretty cool too!! – Frankie Pate

I’m enrolling AJ in hopes that he will gain proper self defense tactics and confidence. I also would like to see him make new friends. I appreciate you being so inviting to us we feel comfortable inside your gym. I’ve also noticed that you show no favoritism amongst the children,I like that. I think you have a good thing going on and I hope that my son will want to stay involved. – Antonio Montoya

“We started taking jiu jitsu classes. I can honestly say it’s been a very long time since I found something that actually cleared my head. It’s amazing. I find myself finally able to put down whatever is on my mind and actually focus on what I am trying to learn. It’s a very challenging workout and I can tell that it’s a good fit for both of us. We come home and both of us are upbeat and pumped about what we are accomplishing. And I love that we go to the gym together.” – April Fyke

If you have been thinking about learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or if you’re simply looking to change up your exercise routine, Frequency Martial Arts is the place to go.  Since training, I have lost and kept off 50 pounds – without drastic changes to my diet.”    Ed LeMonnier- Robson Moura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Purple Belt

“Hey Ed just wanna say appreciate how you really tailored class to beginners and really broke down the self-defense aspects of Bjj!
I know a lot of martial arts schools, whether it’s karate, TKD, Bjj, or whatever that act can be condescending to new students and just beat them up to show them how tough their school is.

That was cool you spending extra time w new student Sarah

That’s a sign of good martial arts instructor.” – Niel Magsombol – Black Belt at Mackinaw Valley Karate

“I had never attempted jiu jitsu until attending Frequency Martial Arts, but I’ve never felt like an outsider at the school.” Patrick Cox – Robson Moura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu  Green Belt
